Cultural Week, June 2025

Ravens Ministries is a part of the work of Christian Family Fellowship Church, where the founder of Ravens Ministries, Abel, is the lead pastor. The life of this church community is the foundation for the work of Ravens and is the context in which each of our Youth is cared for, mentored, and supported. Abel shared an update from their recent Cultural Week Celebration:

“Christian Family Fellowship Church is experiencing spiritual growth and an increase in attendance. Our weekly services are witnessing an overflow of people. We've had to open up the church walls on some Sundays to accommodate those who cannot fit inside. This growth has brought together people from diverse cultural backgrounds, necessitating the introduction of interpretation services from Luganda to English to ensure everyone can participate.

“To celebrate our rich cultural diversity, we hosted a Cultural Week with the theme ‘Learning from Each Other and Serving God’ (Acts 17:26). The event showcased the unique traditions and customs of our members, including food, clothing, cultural dance and values. A remarkable outcome was the discovery that our church is made up of 15 different ethnic groups.

“This celebration achieved more than just showcasing our diversity—it fostered greater understanding, appreciation, and unity among our members. We're now more bonded as a community, united in our faith and committed to serving each other with humility and seeking God.”
